# Manage accounts

Open the account identity at the top of the wallet or go to **Settings →
Accounts**.

## Switch accounts

The account picker changes the active WalletChan account. A connected dapp may
have its own approved account set and per-tab selection, so switching the
wallet does not silently expose an unapproved address to the page.

Pending requests are pinned to the account that received them. Switching
accounts does not transfer a request to another signer.

## Rename and reorder

Use account settings to change a local label. Drag the accessible reorder
handle to change account order. Seed-group and Safe metadata remain attached to
the account.

## Inspect and copy

Account identity controls provide the full address, copy action, QR code, and
links to configured chain explorers or supported portfolio dashboards. Public
names and avatars are best-effort labels; always verify the address for a
high-value action.

## Add or derive

Choose **Add account** to import a private key or seed phrase, derive another
seed address, pair Ledger, add view-only, import a discovered Safe, or connect
an optional Bankr account.

## Reveal local secrets

Private-key and seed-phrase reveal actions require a live master-password
authorization. Passkey sessions may still ask for recovery proof for some
factor changes. Agent-password sessions cannot reveal secrets.

## Remove an account

WalletChan checks active dapp permissions, pending requests, account-type
dependencies, and protected local data before removal. Removal never moves
funds or deletes an onchain account. Back up local secrets first.
