# Data and history

These controls change local WalletChan data. They cannot erase blockchain
records.

## Clear Transaction History

Open **Settings → Data → Clear Transaction History**. WalletChan loads local
counts by account. Select one, several, or all accounts, then confirm.

This removes local enriched Activity/receipt records. Transactions remain
public on explorers, and WalletChan may later observe new related state through
normal portfolio/RPC reads.

## Reset Nonce Cache

Use this after a local nonce conflict or stale prepared state. It clears the
wallet's local nonce allocator/cache and shows a success toast.

It does not cancel, drop, or replace a published transaction. For that, use
[Cancel or Speed Up](/transactions/replacements) where eligible.

## Clear Chat History

Removes all locally stored Bankr conversations after a confirmation. It does
not revoke the Bankr credential or change onchain transactions.

## Full reset

The forgot-password/reset flow is much broader. It removes WalletChan identity,
accounts, encrypted local keys/phrases and credentials, sessions, pending
requests, WalletConnect state, history, caches, and privacy state.

Reset can be blocked while an irreversible operation is unresolved. If Shield
state exists, WalletChan requires an explicit loss acknowledgement. A reset is
not a troubleshooting shortcut; use it only when you have verified backups and
intend to rebuild the wallet.

## Data that remains elsewhere

* Onchain transactions, balances, allowances, delegations, and Safe state.
* Browser/store installation history.
* Dapp or WalletConnect peer records.
* RPC provider and bridge/service logs.
* Bankr/server-side data.

Remove or revoke those through their own authority boundaries.
