# Address book

Open **More → Address book** or open contacts from the Send recipient picker.

## Add a contact

Provide a label and either:

* A `0x` EVM address.
* ENS or a Basename.
* A `.wei`, `.gwei`, or `.mega` name.

WalletChan resolves supported names before saving and stores the resolved EVM
address. Public names and avatars are fetched as display metadata; the contact's
local label remains the primary identity.

## Use contacts in Send

Focus the Send recipient field to see relevant contacts and wallet accounts.
Typed search ranks labels, public names, and addresses. Selecting a contact
uses its saved address and still shows copy/explorer disclosure.

## Manage

* Search by label, public name, or address.
* Edit the label or address.
* Delete with confirmation.
* Reorder with drag, touch, or keyboard controls.
* Add a contact directly from the Send contacts group.

When search filters the list, reordering preserves the hidden contacts in their
stored positions.

## Identity and safety

WalletChan can show a cached public avatar/name and a deterministic fallback.
Remote images are sanitized before display. Names and avatars are not proof of
ownership; verify the `0x` address for valuable transfers.
